Glucosamine
Glucosamine is actually a form of sugar the body uses for the formation and repair of cartilage. The glucosamine found in Flexicose stimulates the formation of water binding molecules such as proteoglycans and glycosaminoglycans. These are two necessary building blocks of cartilage which also slow down the production of enzymes which break down cartilage tissue in joints. Additionally, glucosamine seems to slow down the formation of other enzymes such as phospholipase and collagenase which also harm cartilage. Basically, taking a glucosamine supplement such as Flexicose, gives your body the basic materials it needs to form cartilage which is healthy. Not only does Flexicose Glucosamine play an important part in cartilage repair and formation, it is also important for the production of nails, ligaments, and tendons. Flexicose Glucosamine has almost no side effects since it is a natural product already found in the body. Although glucosamine is formed naturally in the body, its production fades with age. To prevent damage in the body, it is important to supplement with additional glucosamine. Flexicose is the ideal choice as a glucosamine supplement with its sulfate of glucosamine and HCL along with 12 other ingredients!
Chondroitin
Another component of cartilage is chondroitin sulfate. Chondroitin is a very large molecule composed of glucosamine sulfate chains. Its functionality is very similar to glucosamine. Since Flexicose is a liquid, its chondroitin sulfate is much more available to the body for absorption. The chondroitin in Flexicose, simply put, helps the glucosamine do its job better.
MSM
Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) is a major contributor of sulfur. Sulfur is the fourth most common mineral found in the human body. MSM is closely related to another compound of sulfur, DMSO. In studies with animals, painful joints have lower concentration of sulfur. In fact, mice with painful joints experienced less deterioration in joints when given MSM. Results in double blind tests showed that those suffering from joint pain. MSM is one of the major ingredients in Flexicose to ease joint discomfort.
Manganese Ascorbate
Also in Flexicose is another essential mineral used in the formation of connective tissue is manganese. There is evidence that manganese can help in preventing Osteoporosis.
Aloe Vera
Studies with animals have shown ingesting aloe vera can reduce soreness and swelling in joints. Aloe vera has been used throughout recorded history for its medicinal properties. Aloe veral is also one of the few natural sources of vegetarian vitamin B12.
Omega 3 Fatty Acids
Flexicose also contains Omega 3 Fatty Acids. These have received tremendous media attention lately for their help with joint discomfort. They appear to relieve soreness, increase the flow of blood, and decrease the rate of heart disease. Omega 3 should be taken as a supplement daily since it is in short supply in our foods. However, one should not take supplements of Omega 6 since those are found to be plentiful in our diets. Flexicose contains no Omega 6
Boswellia Serrata (Boswellin)
Boswellia is best known for its use in treating Rheumatoid Arthritis. But since it has such valuable anti-inflammatory properties, it is also used widely for all joint soreness. Boswellia slows inflammatory causing substances in the body like leukotrienes. Studies have shown use of Boswellia does not appear to cause irritation to the stomach like NSAIDs (aspirin) do.
Niacinamide
Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3 which can enhance the secretion of glucocorticoid secretions. Flexicose contains this ingredient which are natural anti-inflammatory hormones also found in the body. It has been shown to be very effective for treating joint discomfort.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C is a vitamin used for the growth and repair of tissues in many parts of the human body. The Vitamin C found in Flexicose is needed for maintenance and repair of bones and joints. It is also used by the body for healing of wounds. Collagen formation also requires Vitamin C. Collagen is used for the formation of cartilage, skin, blood vessels, and tendons. It is essential to form collagen, an important protein used to make tendons, cartilage, ligaments, skin, and blood vessels. Vitamin C is also used by the body to destroy free radicals.
Vitamin A
Vitamin A is another important vitamin which is known to relieve joint discomfort. Being another antioxidant (like vitamin C) it is needed by the body for the formation of healthy bones. Low levels of vitamin A may lead to lower bone mass. This could lead to osteoporosis.
Vitamin E
Vitamin E is an antioxidant the body uses which also can aid in the lessening of joint discomfort and help increase mobility in joints. Some tests have shown Vitamin E to be as effective as NSAID’s. The Vitamin E found in Liquid Flexicose is readily available for the body to absorb.
Bromelaine
Bromelaine also is very effective lessening discomfort in joints. It may also help with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Long term use may help with disorders of connective tissue too. This substance also has been found to have anti-inflammatory properties.
Yucca
Yucca can work to block the release of toxins found in the intestines which slow cartilage formation.
There are 10 calories in each dose of Flexicose and 25% of the daily required vitamins of A, C, and E.
